The After effects

Well Halloween has been over for a month on and I still feel like a piece of me is missing. To keep from feeling like a piece of me is missing, I'm gearing up for next year. I'm try new things with my masks and make up, trying some new products, coming up with new mask ideas and scaring my roommates and boss at whatever chance I get. It feels in that gaping hole with a TMNT band aid and hoping it will hold til I do the different trainings they have through out the year.
So get this, I've been looking at this school in PA for masks and make-up. It looks like it could have taught me a ton of important information but take a guess how much it would cost to go................................................. over 37,000 for 4 semesters of 65 credits. so much for that, unless I marry a very rich man. I will just have to continue studying on my own.

I did my friends make up for Halloween and I think it turned out pretty good. I even shot her in the face.

Because of the last mess I made with my mask I had to start over, now with this one I did not want the samething. So here is the new look to Marshalls face.

This is the basic out line of his face the details are soon to come.

NIGHTMARE on 13TH

So I put my two weeks in at This is the Place and applied for a job at NIGHTMARE on 13th and there was no guarantee i would get but the interview process went amazing. I found out today that I received the job and I will be working at one of the best Haughted Houses in Utah. Im really excited and training starts wed the 8th. hopefully this will also help me get in with some great make-up artist and get my name out there.
The question is

I know I have been slacking on putting up pictures but well there is NO BUTS. I just have not done it. The mask is coming along and I think I will be complete with the sculpture with in a week or so, if I get time to work on it. I have tiny details to put on his face and done. Then off to molding.

TAKE 2

I have started a new mask for Marshall, it will not be the same as the last. There will be a few things that are the same, but over all it will be different. It will still be a goblin and he will have one eye missing, but he will be a bit rounder in the ears, mouth and nose. I see an image in my mind and hopefully I can come close to matching the sculpture to the image.

Molding

So i started the molding process the other night and all I found was that I needed to practice the molding, and with much sadness I show you this.

I was able to learn a ton and I will try again as soon as I get my armature cleaned off.

This passed weekend I had a little time to work on marshalls teeth.

Marshall wanted his own eyes but with one missing so one eye will be his eye and the other eye with be stitched up.

Misc...

I went out and brought a airbrush machine about two weeks ago, which I'm very excited about. The only problem is that i have to buy equipment when I have the money to buy it. I have the machine but no paint, which means its sitting on my counter looking pretty until my next pay check comes in and I order paint. sweet and all at the same time suck.

I had the mask just about complete when two things happened.
First
I wanted Marshall to approve it and make sure it was to his standards, and when he came and saw it, he did not like the eyes so I'm completely redoing the eyes.

second
In my apartment complex we have these little kids that will just walk right into your house without knocking or anything at all. One day my lovely roommate let them come in to see my fish, they came in went and saw the fish. She tells them to hang tied til she comes back down from upstairs. well as she was gone the kids wanted to play with my mask. They took their nails and started to poke and claw my mask and then grab its nose and move it around. my roommate comes downstairs to see them messing will it and just tells them to stop touching it.
when I came home to see what they had done I was not a happy camper, So I told my lovely roommate that those kids where not allowed in our house again, Because they have no respect for other peoples property and privacy.
I was able to fix it with in a couple hours of work.

Airbrush

being a beginner at making masks, i want to make them all look as professional as i can, to get more opportunities to sell and produce mask. so i have decided that i will buy a airbrush machine, and I'm taking the time to look into different machine and what people say (if they are any good). if you have bought one or have work with them. Would you let me know what companies make the best airbrush machine.

I have been making a mask for my older brother Marshall.

Its taking sometime to work with being a beginner, but with time I will learn some tricks.

Masks and Make up begans

Over the past couple years Ive been wanting to get into the mask/make up business. I had only been doing make up at haughted houses and a few plays, til now. A few months back I had been ordering masks and appling the make up myself but if you ever have a chance to look them up they can be a bit pricey and you never really get what you want. So I have started to make some masks starting with my brother for his birthday and my sister-in-law. What I plan on doing with this page is show you what I really enjoy.
